Last weekend, the Navajo County Family Advocacy Center invited the community out to “Dunk For A Cause” during Show Low Days. Fire fighters, law enforcement officers, business leaders, FAC staff, a couple deputy county attorneys, community members and I were plunged into ice water (literal ice-filled water, thanks to one of our event sponsors, Ready Ice,) all in good fun and with proceeds supporting the FAC. This light-hearted event is an example of one of engaging opportunities the FAC provides for the community to support the Center’s mission.
While the ways people can support the FAC vary, the impact of every investment is constant: every dollar the FAC receives carries the power to change the lives of victims of abuse. As the Navajo County Attorney and a devoted advocate for the Navajo County Family Advocacy Center, I am proud to emphasize that every contribution to our cause is an investment in the well-being and future of the children we serve.
